This has lead to an opportunity to increase local headcount for a Global Client On Boarding Team as part of an ongoing strategic initiative. The successful developerortechnical analyst will join a growing Financial Services organization in a time when they are launching multiple new initiatives and dramatically expanding their client basis. The On Boarding Group is responsible for analysing the clients technical setup, applications for trading and complementary infrastructure for the connecting to the banks Then they are responsible for developing connectivity systems to allow them to trade effectively, efficiently and rapidly through the bank with ease. To setup these type of connection requires regular interaction with business users and global technology peers around the world to scope and develop solutions. The group then tests and implements the most effectiveoroptimal solution to match the clients trading needs. Due to the range of clients technologies the connectivity solutions will be developed on a variety of platforms and languages thus require experienced and diligent problem solvers. This role is to be the lead developer in Sydney office as part of the Global Client Connectivity Team. Development will be predominately with the FIX protocol and surround Java language, with Oracle DB Back End working on a Unix platform. This position is then also responsible for the 3rd level highly technical support for any client raised issues. There is a large element of internal communication with regional piers and global development teams, as well as external communication with clients. This role offers the opportunity to operate with a relative amount of autonomy whilst working as part of the Global team. Ultimately you are the local face of this team and the go to point for client connectivity development in the Australian business. The position requires the incumbent to have a broad range of IT skills and be capable of working in an environment that requires flexibility, problem solving, delegation and strong interpersonal skills.
