Classified Description:	Central Queensland Location Monday to Friday Roster $120,000 + super + bonus + relocationAn opportunity exists for a focused and motivated Mining Engineer with Truck and Shovel background, looking to take their career to the next level. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, Technical Services, you will be responsible for the productivity and efficiency of our state of the art equipment fleet, ensuring production targets are balanced with equipment reliability and safety. This role is challenging and rewarding, with your controls ensuring schedules and operational requirements are communicated effectively throughout the site. The Role will involve Ensuring efficient, effective, safe and productive plans are designed in timely manner, and liaising with Supervisors, Superintendents and other Engineers to ensure all plans are create in accordance with company and statutory policies, standards and procedures. Ensuring the TruckorShovel Fleet is productive and working safely by conducting tours throughout the mine circuits with relevant supervisors and superintendents, monitoring conditions and altering plansorschedules as required. Ensuring that work taking place is done so in compliance with all aspects of BHP BillitonorBMC policies, values and Codes Of Conduct and if not, corrective action is taken and any situations are reported via the appropriate channels. Constantly monitoring and evaluating the performance of the TruckorShovel fleet and making effective changes to planning and scheduling to ensure production targets are met. Any changes are to be communicated in a clear, concise and safe manner to all those working within the Production Team and other relevant personnel. Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to implement agreed plans in relation to planning, designing and scheduling within the mine site Liaising with the Environmental Department at all times to ensure correct environmental controls are in place, as per our commitment to environmental sustainability. You will require Tertiary qualifications a degree in Mining Engineering or associated discipline is mandatory 2 years Open Cut Mining experience in Truck StrippingorTruck and Shovel Operations A demonstrated commitment to safety and a proven history of Continuous Improvement, specifically relating to safety, costs and siteorcompany objectives Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, to ensure proactive relationships are formed, and open, honest lines of communication are established between ALL team members, both contract and permanent. Experience with Vulcan and 1SAP and other data management systems You will be rewarded with an outstanding remuneration package which will include salary and superannuation, commute and site allowances, performance bonus, share options and salary sacrificing and we WILL consider applicants who require a 457 Visa. This is a RESIDENTIAL role with a Monday to Friday roster. You will reside in a modern, first rate village with all meals provided and there is no hot bedding.
