The purpose of the role is to provide operational Network WANorLANorFirewallorIPTELorOther Change and Problem management technical support to Infrastructure Services outsourced clients. The primary focus is on the overall management, control and optimisation of service affecting changes and to ensure that minimal impact to the business processes affected by the change. Key Responsibilities
Adhere to Change Management process across all customers. Actively seek opportunities of standardisation andoror improvements across all customers. Process andoror technically driven. Accept ownership for assigned Standard and Non standard Network changesortasks. Maintenance of Network documentation, diagrams and procedures. Provide recommendations for service upgrade or downgrades Understand standard management architecture and actively identify and rectify non conformance. Produce monthly Network report for the Infrastructure Services customers. Experience Required
Troubleshooting, incident management and change management disciplines are essential. Personal and communication skills are essential Documentation Procedure Maintenance skills would be an advantage. Advanced Skills in networking, routing, switching, QOS, MPLS, Firewall management Understanding of Windows NT, Novell, Unix and other Server technologies is essential. ITIL IT Infrastructure Library Cisco IOS Ability to manage workload operational responsibilities is essential. Ability to work well in a team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive and reactive. Provide, on a regular basis, after hours on call network support to the Infrastructure Services outsourced clients. Required to be reachable and available for network support upon request during on call support. Qualifications
Tertiary studies highly regarded. CCNP or CCDP certification is required. Further Cisco and other associated certifications are desired.
